Accessibility Statement

The LaunchMyLifeND website was created through a collaborative effort among a consortium of several North Dakota agencies. Its purpose is to assist students with intellectual disabilities in transitioning from high school to the next steps in their lives, whether that involves employment, a trade school, or a university.  The LaunchMyLifeND consortium consists of the following agencies:

  1. North Dakota Center for Persons with Disabilities (NDCPD)
  2. North Dakota Protection & Advocacy (ND P&A)
  3. North Dakota State Council on Developmental Disabilities (ND SCDD)
  4. North Dakota Health and Human Services Vocational Rehabilitation (ND HHS VR)
  5. North Dakota Department of Public Instruction (NDDPI)
  6. Pathfinder Services of North Dakota

Staff from each of these agencies contribute their expertise to the website content to provide accurate, best-practice information.

It is the intent of this Consortium to make every effort possible to ensure the LaunchMyLifeND website is accessible and meets Section 508 requirements.  The website was designed by Odney Advertising in 2024, and the same year, we implemented the AccessiBe extension to support individuals with visual impairments. More recently, we have made updates to this website to comply with Section 508 and the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.0, Levels A and AA, which are recognized standards for website accessibility.

The website may link to other websites that provide relevant information. These links are provided as a public service only. We do not control or guarantee the accessibility of external organizations, services, advice, or products included in these website links.

Ensuring that our information is accessible is an ongoing process. If you encounter any issues or barriers on our website, please contact us directly so we can address the concern promptly. We ask that you provide your name, email address, the URL or name of the webpage you are having difficulty accessing, and a brief description of the issue.  If applicable, please also indicate if any assistive technology was used when the issue occurred and whether you would prefer to receive the materials in an alternative format.
